Porsche launched the RS version of the outstanding 991 GT3 at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015. The 3.8-litre unit found in the 911 GT3 was replaced with a normally aspirated 4.0-liter unit with 500 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a seven-speed PDK. The upgraded drivetrain delivered 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds and 0-124 mph (0–200 km/h) in 10.9 seconds. In 2017 Porsche released the updated and facelifted version, dubbed the 991.2 GT3 RS. This car now producing 520 horsepower and 346lb/ft of torque, the 0-60mph time was reduced to 3.0 seconds (2.9 in independent testing), incredibly quick for a rear-wheel drive vehicle.
The 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS saw a noticeable number of upgrades over its previous 991.1 generation. The 4.0-liter flat six’s power was increased and revs to 9,000rpm, the rear wing was raised slightly resulting in increased downforce of 20%, changes to the rear suspension, and the addition of the “Weissach Package” option. The Weissach Package, as equipped here, uses a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber anti-roll bars, and other carbon fiber components in order to save weight.
This 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of the last cars to have been made for the 2019 model year. 2019 was the final year of the 991.2 GT3 RS and also the last of the 991 generation cars. Purchased new by its one-and-only owner, the GT3 RS was heavily optioned to their wishes. With a total of $50,840 in factory options, the total MSRP was $240,690. This included popular options such as the Weissach Package, Lizard Green paint, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Front Axle Lift System, Extended Range Fuel Tank, and LED headlights (complete options list above).
Being a part of a special car collection, the GT3 RS was delivered new but never driven, now showing only 15.9 miles on the odometer. Brand new in every respect, this Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a stunning example of the final production and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to experience one as if they just bought it from the Porsche factory.
