840hp 770 lb-ft of torque, a 2.3 second 0-60, and 9.54 second quarter mile, straight from the factory. Dodge had a streak of fearsome muscle cars, but they went above and beyond to produce a muscle car that would become legendary. The Dodge Demon's specifications are those of a record-breaking supercar and are based on the well-known Challenger Hellcat. The Demon SRT is one of the quickest, most potent, and most impressive vehicles to ever be produced by an American brand, which is a proud moment for the country's auto industry. Not to mention that it's also one of the most uncommon performance automobiles made in America. There were only 3,300 Dodge Demons produced, and when combined with their stunning appearance and outstanding performance, they are a highly sought-after automobile.
The Dodge Demon is, without a shadow of a doubt, an awesome performance vehicle just by glancing at it. There is no denying that this car is a very serious speed machine given its enormous intakes, classic proportions, and aggressive stance. Because the Dodge Demon is one of the few production cars in the world that can complete a quarter-mile in under ten seconds, the results of flooring one in a straight line should never be underestimated.
The Demon features lightened Brembo brakes that sit behind some massive 18x11 inch lightweight alloy wheels. The square setup is wrapped in 315/40R18 Demon branded Nitto NT05R tires that still won’t stop this beast from creating a smoke show down the straight.
In order for Dodge to manage to create the world’s fastest production car at the time, they had to buckle down. All of the components, including the crank, pistons, and rods, are forged. The oil galleries inside the block also feed 50% more oil to the piston squirters. These nozzles provide cooling to the heavy-duty vehicles by being pointed at the pistons' undersides. To ensure that every angle is accurate once the heads are installed, torque-plates are used to bore each block. The Demon engine specs could now reach 6,500 rpm thanks to the addition of squirters that cooled the valve springs. On top of this was placed a colossal supercharger displacing 2.8 liters that get chilled by a massive intercooler as well as a burst of cool air from the A/C. This combination enables the boost to reach up to 14.5lbs at launch. As an added bonus, the Demon is able to pull a wheelie off the line thanks to it being the first production car ever to have a trans brake.
For maximum performance, the Demon was only released with a specially suited 8-speed automatic transmission. To achieve the ultimate 1/4-mile run, a special high-stall torque converter was built. An internal trans-brake that locks first to reverse is what holds it back and is the reason why the engine can now rev while being loaded. During this, the ignition cuts the spark to every other cylinder, building boost. Once you’re moving, changing gear only takes 400 milliseconds, yet you can still feel the adrenaline in every single shift.
The noted collector owner, and personal friend of Bruce, entrusted Canepa with the sale of this stunning Indigo Blue Demon. Upon its arrival here, the Demon went through our Canepa Difference process, where it was test driven by Bruce Canepa and inspected by our team. After the test drive, Bruce proclaimed about the Demon, “you can’t describe this kind of performance/acceleration. You simply have to experience it!” As expected of a car with barely over 700 miles, the car was in amazing condition and required no service to be done. The Demon quickly made its way to our concours detailing team where it was given a light foam pad polish to bring out the factory shine of its rare Indigo Blue exterior. This is your chance to own the true DEMON of the streets!
