The 993 was the best of the air-cooled Porsche evolution. Just as the dust had settled from the 964, the 993 made another earth-shattering leap forward with a yet-again completely revised engine, suspension, and a modernized appearance. Despite its technological advancements, the 993 did not forsake its iconic design, Porsche’s impeccable craftsmanship, or the 911’s air-cooled DNA. The 993 marked the greatest and final chapter of the air-cooled Porsche 911. When regarded through the lens of today, it has only grown more relevant as the unstoppable march of time and technological advancements have demonstrated how superb the generation was.

This 1997 Porsche 993 C2 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with Cashmere leather and is powered by a 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-six (282hp and 250lb-ft of torque) paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes sunroof, 18″ hollow-spoke wheels, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, and cruise control, while upgrades include a Euro-spec 993 Turbo front bumper, RUF-branded aluminum pedals, Fabspeed oval exhaust tips, Porsche Classic stereo, and XPEL paint protection film. The 18″ hollow-spoke Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with 225/40 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and stopping power is provided by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The cabin features seats upholstered in Cashmere leather, matching door panels, carpets, and a black dashboard. Aluminum accents the shift knob and parking brake lever, and other equipment include eight-way power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, power accessories, and of course, the Porsche Classic radio and infotainment screen.

This vehicle was initially purchased and registered in Riverside, Connecticut but ultimately spent most of its life in New Jersey until it was purchased by its most recent owner in Newport Beach, Ca. After just one look, it’s easy to see that throughout the years, this 993 was properly owned and maintained. The Car Fax revealed that the mileage grew steadily over time to indicate a total of only 26,973 miles leading an average of barely over 1000 miles driven per year.
