2 owner car
Classic Black on Black color combo
3.6 litre air-cooled flat-six with a 6-speed manual transmission
285 hp and 251 ft-lb of torque
The 993 series C2S, C4S, and Turbo are often referred to as the ultimate Porsches. The C4S had noticeable changes distinguishing itself. It sported the Turbo body, equipped with the normally aspirated flat-six pushing 285 hp and 251 ft-lb of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. It also came equipped with the Turbo model’s characteristic red 4-piston calipers and larger brake discs. Additionally, it borrowed the 4-wheel drive system from the famed 959 and came lowered from the factory by 10mm in the front and 20mm in the rear.
This vehicle was originally purchased in 1996 by an Oregon businessman. In 2010 the car was passed down to his son who kept the car for two years before trading it into Porsche of Bend for a newer model. The second owner, an avid car enthusiast and Concours judge, acquired this beauty in 2013 and drove it home from Bend, Oregon to Concord, California.
This owner applied his automotive expertise in purchasing the best car from paint to mechanicals. His initial road trip home confirmed how immaculately well preserved the one-family-owned car was and inspired him to enter the 993 into the 2014 Danville Concours. Sure enough, the car won its class in a very competitive field of 1990-2000 Sports Cars. For the next few years, the owner decided to continue preserving the car rather than drive it daily. The C4S was regularly inspected and serviced at Walnut Creek Porsche, Deutsche Motorsport, and Pacific Power. It was 2019 when he decided to once again enter the Danville Concours, resulting in another Best in Class win. The vehicle was driven sparingly, with less than 4000 miles put on the vehicle during his 9 years of ownership.
Upon arrival at Canepa, every vehicle goes through a process called the Canepa Difference where the car is personally inspected and road-tested by Bruce Canepa. Bruce was amazed by the sheer sleek beauty of this 993 C4S and how well preserved mechanically the car was. After a complete inspection including any necessary service, the C4S only required a light cleaning and minor detail performed by our Concours winning detail team. This pristine 993 C4S is truly a superlative Porsche.
