The Porsche 959 was by far the most technologically advanced sports car when it was introduced in 1985. Porsche built only 292 of these supercars between 1987 and 1988. Their timeless design, state-of-the-art systems, and superior driving characteristics make them still one of the greatest sports cars of all time.

Canepa had the 959 imported from Japan which arrived in California on August 14th, 2012. When the car arrived at Canepa, the car was in exceptional original condition due to being just shy of 1,553 original miles on the odometer. Canepa set to work to go through the entire car, inspecting every system and detailing every surface until it presented and functioned as though it had just left the Zuffenhausen factory.

The car would find a new owner on February 27th, 2013 and would remain with them close to half a decade. During their ownership the car would only see a little less than 2,000 miles added to its odometer, the car being taken out for special occasions. During this time, the owners ensured that the car was properly cared for which is displayed by the recent service work documentation, with a major recent service completed in 2015.
