This Ford GT was purchased by its original California owner from Harbin Ford in Alabama in March of 2006. Why so far away? When the low production Ford GT came out they were very hard to come by, and even more difficult to find close to MSRP. This car was immediately shipped to its new owner in Northern California after its purchase, and it has remained there ever since in a climate-controlled garage.
In June of 2007 the owner fancied more power from his 550hp supercar. The GT was sent down to Hennessey Performance in Texas for the installation of their HPE700 upgrade. This $16,000 package would bring the car up to 710hp giving a 0-60mph time of just 2.9 seconds. This included upgraded high flow air filters, stainless steel exhaust, supercharger pulley, and custom tuned software. All the original parts were retained, just in case a future owner would want to put the car back to stock.
By 2011 the car had only cover 2,630 miles and would only be driven another 230 in the next 5 years. The GT has never been tracked, and has been fully serviced since new.
