This 1997 911 Turbo was finished at the Porsche factory on November 19th of 1996 and optioned in stunning color combination Black over Boxster red interior. It was equipped with Supple leather, Self-Dimming Mirrors and Rain Sensor, Digital Sound Package, Porsche Crests on the Head Restraints, 6 Disc Remote CD changer, and its Brake/Shifter in Dark Wood/Aluminum. It was first sold on December 31st, 1996 and registered to its first owner in the sunny state of Florida. He would keep the car for almost four years before offering the car for sale with close to 5,800 miles. The car would pass through the hands of a few more owners before its new owner in Bloomfield, Michigan purchased the car in 2006 and would hold onto the car for more than 11 years, adding less than 1,600 miles during that time.
Since its arrival the Turbo has gone through the Canepa Difference process, which includes a complete top to bottom, outside to inside concours level detail, and thorough mechanical inspection and service. Driven less than 1,300 miles a year, this is an excellent example of the last of air-cooled Turbos, ready for spirited backroad driving or a relaxing cruise down the boulevard.

The 993 Turbo coupe was released in 1995. It featured a new turbocharged engine displacing 3.6 liters. Twin turbochargers and air-to-air intercoolers, electronic engine management, redesigned cylinder heads and other modified engine internals were used. The 993 Turbo was the first Porsche Turbo with all wheel drive. The electronic engine management helped the Turbo to achieve fuel efficiency far superior to any of the previous production Turbos. In connection with two catalytic converters and an on-board-diagnostics-system including four oxygen-sensors, it also made the 993 Turbo the cleanest sports car at its time. The Turbo's bodywork differs from the Carrera body by widened rear wheel arches (approximately 6 cm), redesigned front and rear bumper moldings, and a fixed rear wing housing the intercoolers. New 18-inch (460 mm) alloy wheels with weight-reducing hollow spokes were standard.
This was one of the first production cars in the world to have OBDII diagnostics (the 3.8 liter and track versions didn't have it, and the normally aspirated 993s didn't get it until 1996). It is said that the 993 Turbo was the fastest production car in the world when it was produced. All turbos since have had water cooled heads. The car also had brakes that were larger than those on the base Carrera model. The 993 Turbo model was the fastest stopping car in production at the time and was tested going 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, and stopping from 60 mph (97 km/h) to 0 in 2.3 seconds.
