The DB11 was officially unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and went into production later that year. It represents a significant departure from the design language of the DB9, featuring a more aggressive and modern look while retaining the classic Aston Martin styling cues. The DB11 features a new, stiffer, bonded aluminum chassis. This allows for improved performance, handling, and safety. The vehicle has received critical acclaim for its design, performance, and luxury features earning it numerous awards, especially for its styling, including the prestigious "Design of the Year" award from the Royal Automobile Club in 2017.
As the convertible version of the DB11, this 2019 DB11 Volante offers an open-top driving experience with a retractable fabric roof, while retaining the same iconic design and performance characteristics of the coupe. Most notably, a long, sweeping hood, distinctive Aston Martin grille, and muscular rear haunches. The deep blue soft-top roof can be operated at speeds of up to 31 mph and takes just 14 seconds to open (and 16 seconds to close).
The interior of the DB11 Volante is designed to deliver a luxurious and comfortable driving experience. This example features handcrafted Blue Haze Caithness leather upholstery, Tamo Ash accents, and a minimalist dashboard with an 8-inch TFT display for the infotainment system.
