183 Original Miles
The blue and orange livery that adorned the cars of the John Wyer racing teams of the 1960s and 1970s is one of the most widely recognizable in the world. Back to back wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1968 and 1969 with the legendary Ford GT40 cemented the legend of both the car, and the partnership of Gulf Oil and John Wyer Racing.
In 2006 Ford added a special limited edition Heritage paint scheme to the exclusive GT supercar that recalled that famous JW Automotive/ Gulf Oil livery of the Le Mans-winning GT40. Finished in Heritage Blue with Epic Orange stripes and White roundels, this Heritage Ford GT is one of only 343 produced and has just 183 original miles on the odometer.
Sold new at Richmond, British Columbia, Canada in 2006, and imported to the US in 2014, it has all the features that make this Ford’s ultimate supercar: an aluminum space frame with double wishbone independent suspension, supercharged 5.4L/550 HP aluminum DOHC V-8 with Ricardo 6-speed gearbox, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires on optional BBS forged alloy 18- and 19-inch wheels, Brembo anti-lock vented disc brakes, HID headlights and a superb black leather interior with air conditioning.
The car is virtually untouched. The owner’s manual attache, service manuals and books are all included with this most pristine example of the Heritage Ford GT, a car that has already achieved the status of a collector classic and will continue to dazzle automotive aficionados for decades to come.
