1992 Ferrari 512 TR
VIN: ZFFLG40A0N0092163
On February 12th 1992 Steven M. Glassman of Boynton Beach, FL walked into Shelton Sports Cars in Fort Lauderdale, FL and traded in his 1989 328GTS on the purchase of this $203,219 Ferrari 512 TR. Built by Ferrari in November of 1991, the car was decked out in the rare, special order color of Blu Chairo accenting its tan leather interior with black carpets, overlays, and dash.
Glassman would own the car for the next 10 years, and during that time would have the supercar regularly serviced, including an engine-out cam belt service at 6,257 miles, done by Shelton Ferrari in 2002.
The TR would move on to a new owner in the Seattle area of Washington in 2004 where it would be serviced at Ferrari of Seattle and Cavallino Autoworks. In 2005, at 8,206 miles, the car would have an engine-out belt and cam-seal service, along with the fitting of a magnificent sounding Capristo exhaust system, which is still on the car.
In August of 2008 the Testarossa would be purchased by Dr. Vazgen Artounian of Scottsdale AZ. He would register the car in Florida because of the inexpensive fees, but the car would remain in Arizona with him. As much as he wanted to drive the Ferrari he never had time to play with his new toy, and the car sat relatively undriven for almost five years.
In May of 2013 he would take the car out for a drive, and what was initially thought to be old fuel and bad plugs turned out be internal damage and required the installation of new engine. Fortunately Scottsdale Ferrari had a brand new factory motor on the shelf, and while the engine was swapped out the entire fuel system was revamped. Realizing that he was still not driving the car as he should, Artounian decided to sell the car to Ray Hartman of Montecito, CA in June of 2014 with 11,600 miles on the odometer.
