This luxurious black finished MK2 3.8 received a no-expense-spared award-winning restoration by Harbor Auto Restoration of Rockledge, Florida. A modern five-speed T5 gearbox was an added feature to the otherwise all-original mechanical and full cosmetic restoration. The biscuit leather interior, well-preserved polished walnut dash, and Wilton wool carpeting make this an exceptionally attractive automobile to drive. The Derrington wood-rimmed wheel and black wire wheels with radial tires add to this already stunning Jaguar.

212739 earned 99.960 points and Best in Class at the JCNA South Florida competition in 2002, followed by the AACA's Grand National Senior Award. In 2006, it received Best in Class at the Palm Beach International Concours.

After undergoing a meticulous inspection and detail at Canepa , this Mark 2 is offered with a complete took kit, spare tire and wheel, jack, and owner's handbook. It is in concours condition and ready for show and driving.

About the Jaguar MK2

Adhering to Sir William Lyons' maxim of "grace, pace and space", the Jaguar MK2 is widely regarded as the world's first sports sedan. Its performance abilities were heightened due to its optional new 3.8 liter engine as found in their E-Type sportscar. Other advanced features set the Jag apart including a limited-slip differential, four-wheel disc brakes, a four-speed gearbox with overdrive, and a tachometer. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph occurred in just 8.5 seconds reaching a top speed of 125 mph.

In 1961, the MK2 broke four world records in the 3 - 5 liter class, averaging 106.58 mph over 10,000 miles. Additionally, the MKII dominated saloon car racing, and even the Tour de France, which it won from 1960 to 1963. This gave the MK2 panache among the London gangsters as it became known as the preferred getaway car during the "Swinging 60s."
