1940 Ford Deluxe Woodie Station Wagon
VIN: 185371248
This all-original 1940 Ford Woodie Station Wagon was virtually untouched for over 30 years after it was purchased in Orange County, California in 1940.
In the 1970s this rarely driven California treasure made its way into Nick Macaluso’s impressive car collection of over 50 vehicles. Nick purchased the car from the original owner in Orange County. He immediately had the car painted and the interior was restored by Ken Perry who worked for Nick for many years. Little restoration work was required for this Woodie to be in show quality condition due to its limited use and incredible original condition.
Nick named the car 'Marilyn' after his wife, who accompanied him to many auto shows where this beautifully maintained Woodie station wagon was praised by spectators for its charm and character. This Woodie was so beloved that it was the official wedding car for Nick's son, Jeff and his wife Melanie in 1989.
Gary Martin purchased the car in 2003 and begin a complete overhaul of the mechanics that included a new French flathead engine block and a suite of improvements that make this 1940s Woodie an excellent driver on modern roads, and a worthy investment for any collector.
