Speedway Signature Series 32
This is the ALL NEW Speedway Motors custom,'32 all steel,
production-line roadster. It fills the gap between the do-it-yourself
builder and the $150,000 custom built cars. This is a complete NEW
’32, all you need to do is add your choice of engine and transmission.
Only 48 cars were built the first year.
Features:
"Patented" All Steel Body
Speedway chose 19 gauge CR 210 zinc coated steel for the body construction.
It is designed to form well and is resistant to rust.
Frame Design
The frame uses Speedway Motors™ “Boxed Truss” design (Patent Pending).
This is the most rigid frame on the market, featuring 11 gauge frame
rails that are manufactured from CR 210, zinc coated steel. The frame
is finished to show quality. Rectangular steel tubing is used for
the X-member for even more rigidity. Boxing of the frame uses the
more traditional “stepped” method.
Chrome Accessories
The Speedway Signature Series 32 features a 4" drop, I-beam axle
and Curtis-style radius rods, tube shocks, and much more.
Assembly Line Production
This is a production-grade, assembly line vehicle, not a prototype.
This means that the Speedway Signature Series 32 is finely machined
and closely toleranced. The result is the highest quality steel-bodied
32 Roadster on the market.
Leather
Bill Smith personally selected the leather for texture and grain of
the upholstery. He then had it custom dyed to achieve the exact color.
Mario Levi, who handles all the leather for the Fiat™ Group, supplied
the materials.
Carpet
100% wool carpet was selected from the stock at the Audi™ manufacturing
facility.
1940 Dash
This style was found exclusively in high-end “Hot Rods” built during
the '40's and '50's. It is carbon fiber and has a polished aluminum
instrument panel that incorporates vintage-style Stewart Warner™ gauges.
Seat Frame
The fully adjustable, steel seat frame has real steel springs, unlike
“foam only” seats, typical in today's production cars.
Sound Deadening
A bitumen based “sheet manufactured” material by Acoustex™, is used
in the body panels. Just like the material used in the manufacturing
of German automobiles.
Spreader Bars
Both the front and rear spreader bars are polished stainless steel.
They will not rust and are sure to gleam and attract attention for
years to come.
Wheels & Tires
The Speedway 32 Roadster features 15" steelies with baby Moon-style
caps, and trim rings. Two sizes of BF Goodrich™ white wall radial
tires have been specified to maximize the nostalgic connection.
